Trying to provide our customers with good level of service, we offer our customers for all METRO Cash & Carry stores a new basi rule: as soon as there is a waiting line of 3 people at the same cash desk a new cash desk should be opened.
Visits to top customers
In order to know personally our customers, store employees visit top customers every day. Opinion of every customer is very important for us, as meeting all our customer needs is our main task.
Professional Advice in Nonfood
Our customers need and want professional advice when selecting technical appliances, gastro equipment. Hence, meeting the need every store will now have new specialists rendering help to our customers in braun goods, computer technology, household and gastro, white and seasonal goods. Those service oriented professionals working in non-food area will undergo regular training on the latest technology developments in order to be able to provide expert advice. Customers will also be able to check the product selected for purchase in the department and not in after cash-desk zone.
Nonfood Info Points
Recently our store in Kiev,Pozniaky, went through remodeling. Now the trade floor is organized according to the shop-in-shop principle and has enlarged professional assortment. The nonfood area has special info-points equipped with computers. In case a customer has a question on assortment he is able to receive a quick response as the info point always has an employee ready to answer incoming requests. Kiev, Teremky, Petrivka and Odessa METRO Cash & Carry stores will undergo the same changes until the end of the year. Gradually all METRO Cash & Carry stores in Ukraine will have the same changes. All new stores will open according to the new merchandising concept.
Veterinary Doctor at the Warranty Table
For our HoReCa customers and traders quality certificates are of prime importance. Hence, every METRO Cash & Carry store had a veterinary doctor responsible for supervising the quality of deliveries in fresh departments and issuing quality certificates to our customers. Customers could receive quality certificates only after they have paid at the cash desk and came to the doctor which an invoice. Now all stores will have two veterinary doctors per shift: one at the goods receiving and another one at the warranty table.
Gold Customer Entrance
As our Gold Card customers mostly buy food products to make sure they spend as little time as possible on reaching the necessary goods METRO Cash & Carry stores have opened a separate entry. Located near the Gold Card cash desks the entry leads directly into the fresh departments and food area.
Receipts in Fish and F&V
METRO Cash & Carry Ukraine is constantly working to offer its customers an optimal assortment. The fish, fruit and vegetables departments have on offer products which are not well known at Ukrainian market, however, able to trim the menu. To assist METRO Cash & Carry customers, especially from HoReCa sector, several stores established special boards at which they provide short information on exotic assortment and share receipts.
